Online introduction to SAMOD: a South African tax-benefit microsimulation model

On 15 July 2020, a two-month self-paced online course on SAMOD (South African tax-benefit microsimulation model) will kick-off with the participation of staff from the National Treasury (NT) and the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

The online course is organized by researchers from Southern African Social Policy Research Insights (SASPRI), the organization that maintains and updates the tax-benefit microsimulation model. Participants will learn how to navigate, interpret, and run the SAMOD user interface, and how to analyse the output data using Statistics Presenter.
