Turning the tide on inequality — Work in progress meeting

Researchers from the Turning the tide on inequality work stream of the SA-TIED project met in Pretoria, South Africa to share the preliminary results of their research work in progress. The annual Work-in-Progress meeting provides an opportunity for researchers to share initial results, gather feedback, and consider areas for research advancement.

The researchers presenting continue to expand the body of research on inequality in South Africa in order to support the formulation of evidence-based policy aimed at reducing inequality and promoting inclusive economic development.

The lead authors of several forthcoming SA-TIED Working Papers presented the preliminary findings of their work. The day's programme is available to download here.

Policies that promote inclusive development need to be built on reliable facts. The research presented on the day is one way that SA-TIED supports a sustained and inclusive development path for South Africa and the region.
