Firm-level micro-data have become increasingly important not only for econometric analysis that captures heterogeneity across enterprises but also in order to conduct different and more detailed types of data aggregation (e.g. by geographical unit, firm size, industry) for decision making. Building on administrative data in the SARS-NT (also, CIT-IRP5) panel, the current study aims to provide a framework for linking the CIT-IRP5 panel with available IPR5 geodata to further enable researchers integrate a “place” perspective in understanding spatial dynamics of growth and factors related to growth including employment among others.
