SA-TIED policy dialogue featured in News24

This week, the SA-TIED programme put on its first of six policy dialogues, as part of the SA-TIED Dialogues – Research into Policy series.

The policy dialogue, on tax and benefit responses to COVID-19 in South Africa, featured Christopher Axelson (National Treasury of South Africa), Mamiky Leolo (SARS), Jukka Pirttilä (University of Helsinki), and Dr Gemma Wright (SASPRI).

The dialogue attracted a large online crowd and was covered by News24 in South Africa. The news outlet highlighted SA-TIED research on South Africa’s COVID-19 social relief measures and brought attention to the efforts made by various South African actors in response to the pandemic.
