Doctoral course on public economics

On 28 May to 1 June, University of Tampere, VATT Institute for Economic Research, and UCFS at Uppsala University , jointly host a doctoral course on public economics. Under the SA-TIED project, selected SARS and NT staff have been invited to participate in this 5-day, intensive course covering some of the fundamental topics in modern public economics.

During the course, participants will be taught and inspired by some of the leading researchers on public economics in the Nordic countries. Topics include welfare economics, inequality analysis, normative aspects of redistributive systems, and recent empirical approaches in estimating key behavioral responses to tax instruments.
