SA-TIED
March 2022

Southern Africa – Towards Inclusive Economic Development (SA-TIED) is a collaboration between the South African Government and several academic and research organizations, including IFPRI. It aims to use research to help answer some of the country’s most pressing economic problems. IFPRI has been at the forefront of these efforts, conducting research and capacity building in areas such as climate change and energy, economic impacts of COVID-19, and informing policy around economic reforms. This video showcases the policy impact of IFPRI’s work under SA-TIED through conversations with IFPRI researchers and partners, Channing Arndt, Sherwin Gabriel, and Faaiqa Hartley; as well as Biopuso Modise, Acting DDG of Economic Policy, National Treasury.
