SA-TIED Hosts Work-in-Progress Workshop on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus

SA-TIED hosted a work-in-progress workshop at Stats SA in Pretoria for Workstream 5: Water-Energy-Food in the Context of Climate Change. This workshop brought together researchers and experts to review the status of their ongoing research, which addresses the interconnected challenges of food security, energy transitions, and water resource management in relation to climate change.

The event provided a collaborative space for participants to share updates, discuss project progress, and gather feedback. Topics included the Water Dialogue, updates on research papers, and developments in South Africa’s Hybrid Climate Economy. Discussions also focused on infrastructure financing, training initiatives, and the integration of climate models with economic strategies.
