SA-TIED Water Infrastructure Investment Dialogue
SA-TIED convened a Water Infrastructure Investment Dialogue at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), bringing together government officials, researchers, and private sector representatives to discuss investment in water infrastructure and ongoing reform efforts in the sector.
Held under Chatham House Rules, the discussions focused on collaborative approaches to addressing South Africa’s water infrastructure challenges, emphasizing the need for sustainable financing, regulatory improvements, and strengthened partnerships. Participants explored opportunities to accelerate investment and improve long-term water security, drawing on insights from ongoing research and reform initiatives.
The dialogue was part of SA-TIED’s broader efforts to support evidence-based policymaking in critical areas of economic development and climate resilience.
